Frederiksted Health Care leadership and staff meet with Senators to discuss the future of healthcare in the Virgin Islands.

On Friday, September 5, Frederiksted Health Care leadership and staff met with Senators Milton Potter, Marise James, Hubert Frederick, and Governor’s House Health Policy Advisor Clint Ferris to discuss the future of h
ealthcare in the Virgin Islands.
FHC serves about 10,000 patients annually and provides over 40,000 visits across primary care, dental, behavioral health, and mobile services. As the safety-net provider for St. Croix, our clinics are vital to the health and well-being of this community.
We spoke honestly about looming Medicaid cuts and the urgent need for collaborative solutions to healthcare disparities. The Senators’ willingness to listen and reflect was encouraging, and the discussion highlighted key outcomes that will guide future work.
We look forward to sharing these outcomes with the community and continuing the conversation on building an equitable healthcare system. Follow FHC for updates on our work and advocacy for healthcare access in the Virgin Islands.
